OUR GUARANTEE

ALPINE LOUNGE warrants to you, the original purchaser, the following:

5 YEAR GUARANTEE - FRAME

ALPINE LOUNGE guarantees the internal frame in its upholstered products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for five years, assuming normal usage of the suite.

2 YEAR GUARANTEE – LEATHER AND STITCHING

ALPINE LOUNGE guarantees the leather used in its upholstered leather products to be 100% genuine leather and to be free from tearing and splitting under normal use for a period of two years from the date you, the original purchaser receive the product.

ALPINE LOUNGE also guarantees the stitching in its upholstered products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date you, the original purchaser, receive the product.

Leather owes its inherent beauty to variations in grain, texture, colour tones, and its natural characteristics, which contribute to the personality and uniqueness of each upholstered leather product. Because leather is a natural product, this guarantee does not cover natural characteristics of leather, such as markings caused by insect bites, barbed wire, veining, abrasions, injuries to the animal, wrinkling or variations in grain or colour tones on different sections of the same leather product.

2 YEAR GUARANTEE - CUSHIONING

ALPINE LOUNGE guarantees the fillings in its upholstered products to be free from abnormal loss of resiliency for a period of two years from the date you, the original purchaser, receives the product.

The softening or flattening of the fibre and foam materials used in cushioning that occurs due to normal use and aging is not covered by this guarantee and shall not be considered a defect in materials or workmanship, and must not be confused with abnormal loss of resiliency, cushions typically soften with normal use and aging, and may conform to the shape of the user.

2 YEAR GUARANTEE – MECHANISMS

ALPINE LOUNGE guarantees the metal mechanism in its upholstered products to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two (2) years from the date that you, the original purchaser, receive the product.

GUARANTEES EXCLUSONS AND CLARIFICATIONS

The guarantee is made by ALPINE LOUNGE only to you, the original purchaser, and to no other person.
  • Does not apply to any Alpine Lounge upholstered products used for any commercial, contract, institutional, rental trade, or other non-household use.
  • Applies only to Alpine Lounge upholstered products used for normal household use and maintained in accordance with instructions provided on the swing ticket attached to the Alpine Lounge product.
  • Does not apply to damage resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, cuts and scratches, accident, burns, fire, water or other hazard, shipment after original delivery to you, the original purchaser, exposure to direct sunlight or bright lights or extreme heat or similar conditions resulting in discolouration, cracking or peeling of leather coverings.
  • Does not apply to damage resulting from application to any coverings of cleaners, conditioners, treatments, or other chemical products not approved in writing by Alpine Lounge, or to damage caused by corrosive chemicals such as acids or solvents, or dyes, inks, paints, body fluids, and similar chemicals.
  • Does not apply to floor samples or to sales made on any ‘as-is’ basis.
  • Does not apply to products taken out of the Republic of South Africa.

GUARANTEE EXCLUSIVE

If ALPINE LOUNGE upholstered product does not conform to the aforesaid guarantee, your sole and exclusive remedy is:
  • The REPAIR of any defective product or repair of any part of any product determined to be defective.
  • REPLACEMENT of any defective product or replacement of any product determined to be defective; or
  • Refund of the original purchase price paid by you for the defective product upon return to Alpine Lounge of the defective product free from all liens and claims at Alpine Lounge’s sole discretion.

IMPLIED GUARANTEES, INCLUDING IMPLIED GUARANTEES OF MERCHANTABILIY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS GUARANTEES SET FORTH FOR THE ALPINE LOUNGE UPHOLSTERED PRODUCT FRAMES, CUSHIONING, LEATHER AND STITCHING, MECHANISMS, AND PARTS SET FORTH IN THE GUARANTEE.

The guarantee and remedies are exclusive and are in lieu of all guarantees, warranties and remedies, verbal or written, express or implied.

If any material or parts used in any defective product are unavailable at the time of repair, and if Alpine Lounge elects to repair the defective product, Alpine Lounge reserves the right to substitute materials or parts of equal quality and value as determined in the sole discretion of Alpine Lounge.

ALPINE LOUNGE SHALL IN NO EVENT BE RESPONSIBLE TO YOU FOR ANY INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF TIME, USAGE, OR MONEY AND IN NO EVENT SHALL THE RESPONSIBILITY OF ALPINE LOUNGE FOR ANY DEFECT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY YOU, THE ORIGINAL PURCHASER, FOR THE PRODUCT.

GUARANTEE CLAIMS PROCEDURE

  • contact the retailer from whom you purchased the product and submit to the retailer a written description of the alleged defect and copy of a dated proof of purchase of the product.
  • Please make guarantee claims promptly following the discovery of any alleged defect, but no later than 30 days after you have discovered the alleged defect.
  • Make relevant photos of the damage to be sent to Alpine Lounge.

THE RETAILER WILL FORWARD YOUR GUARNATEE CLAIM AND PHOTOS TO ALPINE LOUNGE FOR CONSIDERATION IF THE RETAILER DETERMINES THE ALLEGED DEFECT MAY BE COVERED BY THIS GUARANTEE.
